Sing Me Sleepy (“we”) makes a bedtime app for families. The app is set up and managed by a parent or guardian. This policy explains what we collect and why. We keep it short because we collect very little.

What we collect

• Your child’s first name and birth year. You enter these so stories and lullabies can say your child’s name and suit their age. We never ask for a surname, photo, address or school.
• An anonymous family account. When the app first connects, it receives a random identifier stored in your device’s Keychain. It is not linked to your name, email or device identifiers.
• Subscription records from Apple. When you subscribe, we receive Apple’s signed transaction (product, dates and Apple’s transaction ID) to confirm your plan. We never see your payment details.
• Voice recordings you make stay on your device. They are not uploaded.

We do not use advertising, third-party analytics, tracking or data brokers. We do not sell or share personal information.

How we use it

• To create your child’s personal audio. We send your child’s first name only, inside the story or lullaby text, to Google’s Gemini API, which turns the text into narration and song. Google acts as our service provider and, under its terms for paid API use, does not use this content to improve its products.
• Audio made for a name is stored privately and may be reused for other children with the same first name. Stored files are labelled by a one-way code, not by the name.
• To check and keep your subscription active.

Children’s privacy

The app is designed for children under 13 and set up by an adult. We collect only what is needed to personalise content, as described above. Purchases, settings and outside links sit behind a grown-up check. We follow COPPA and Apple’s Kids Category rules.

Keeping and deleting data

• Removing a child in the app deletes their name and birth year from our servers.
• Deleting the app removes everything stored on the device.
• To delete your family account entirely, email us at singmesleepy@proton.me. We’ll delete it within 30 days.
• Subscription records may be kept as required for accounting.
